What do the different prices mean?
This is a pay what you can model...so if you can swing it, the $111 ticket helps to make these events possible and allows me to be able to offer equity pricing. The equity rate of $88 is intended for those who hold systemically marginalized identities (ie. LGBTQIA+ and/or BBIPoC). Also, I understand if the lower rate meets your economic needs, so choose the ticket price that meets your needs.

Why isn't this event free?
Excellent question! My overarching goal, in all that I do, is to create a more collaborative field of dietetics, to lower the walls between "competing niches" and hold space for my colleagues voices & experiences to be shared so that we can come at collaborating from respectful and understanding lens.
I'm a soloprenuer & connecting dietitians is my business. I do a lot of RD connecting on Instagram totally complementary, because I LOVE IT! However, with event planning, there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make these events happen and all of that takes time, resources, and a whole lotta love.
While I'm not going to promise that you're gonna have $10k months after this event...I can promise you that you will make genuine connections that go beyond the event, gain new perspectives on collaboration through conversation, and arrive at actionable takeaways so that you can bring collaboration into your interactions.
How is this different than a networking event?
Most networking events that RDs attend are centered around a certain topic like renal nutrition or are paid for by a large company. These events are called "networking" events...but they often feel a bit more transactional and foster a "let's go for the free food & free CEU" mindset...and there is nothing wrong with that, but that's not the vibe of the RTR events.
At the typical networking event you're around "your people" which is great...but my goal with the RTR is to show RDs that a niche doesn't define your people.
I believe that there is an opportunity to learn from our colleagues...in all niches, with different lived experiences & different approaches. This space is about growth! This is what happens in both the low-key connection spaces as well as the guided roundtable discussion.
Also, in most traditional networking events you're left on your own to make connections with the people around you; at the events I host, I help to facilitate connection amongst attendees. These spaces are for the introverted RD who hates introducing themselves, but still wants to make genuine connections. I'm here to help you break the ice & make conversation a breeze.
What is a roundtable?
All about doing things differently here! A roundtable is a space where participants gather to exchange ideas, share information, and discuss a particular topic or issue. It often involves a group of individuals with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and perspectives coming together to engage in an open and informal conversation.
A roundtable aims to facilitate open discussion, exchange of ideas, and exploration of different perspectives on a specific topic. It may not have a defined outcome or goal other than generating insights or fostering dialogue.
Roundtables are often less formal and have a relatively loose structure. Participants can freely contribute to the discussion, and the conversation may flow in a more organic manner.
Roundtables focus more on information exchange & exploration of ideas.
The roundtable discussion is a space to share about past collaborative experiences, hinderances to collaboration in our field, and brainstorming that will result in practical takeaways so that you can start taking steps to incorporate collaboration into practice with fellow dietitians.
